Deaf & Disabled

Current day fire legislation makes provisions to ensure that there is adequate warning and a means for safe evacuation for all people from buildings but provision for deaf people is often overlooked.

We have developed EDDIE, Evacuation for the Deaf and Disabled In Emergencies, specifically to help evacuate deaf or the hard of hearing.

EDDIE complies with the relevant parts of the British Fire Alarm Standard BS5839-1, which differentiates it from standard on-site paging systems by including a whole array of safety features.

The complete EDDIE solution comprises of a Controller / Transmitter and Vibrating Text Pagers worn by the Deaf or Hard of Hearing person.  The controller is connected to the existing Fire Alarm panel via a monitored line and upon activation will alert all Vibrating Text Pagers of the exact situation.  The paging message is continuously sent until the controller is reset.

EDDIE is simple to install and quickly provides added benefit and security to everyone that uses it!
